President Joe Biden aims to showcase at the G20 summit that the United States and its allies are better economic and security partners than China. The US plans to propose increasing the lending power of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund by $200 billion as an alternative to China's Belt and Road initiative. Biden will also meet with Vietnamese General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to tighten economic cooperation. China's President, Xi Jinping, will not attend the summit. The US, India, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are working on finalizing a joint infrastructure deal.
