C&S Wholesale Grocers, an industry leader in wholesale grocery supply in the US, has agreed to purchase 413 stores, eight distribution centers, and two offices from The Kroger Co. and Albertsons Companies Inc. The acquisition includes the QFC, Mariano's, and Carrs brand names, as well as the licensing rights to the Albertsons brand name in select states. C&S will also add five private labels to their brand portfolio. The deal is expected to close in early 2024. C&S will maintain current collective bargaining agreements and retain frontline employees.
