Convoy unveils real

Digital freight matching (DFM) firm Convoy claims to have reduced cargo theft and fraud by 90% through its real-time fraud detection system. The system, which has been in beta testing since January, combines machine learning, forensic behavioral data, automation, and industry collaboration to monitor risk, block fraud, and apprehend perpetrators. However, other players in the supply chain industry have also launched tools to combat freight theft, highlighting the growing problem that costs shippers hundreds of millions of dollars each year. Convoy also reports suspected thieves and bad behavior to law enforcement agencies.
