Greenpeace USA tells Bumble Bee to end Modern Slavery in its ...

Greenpeace USA has delivered a petition with over 51,000 signatures to Bumble Bee and its owners, urging them to stop sourcing from ships that exploit workers and harm the oceans. Activists marched to Bumble Bee's headquarters and hoisted banners reading "End Modern Slavery" to raise awareness. The Greenpeace Ship Arctic Sunrise is in California to launch a global campaign calling on world leaders to protect 30 percent of the oceans by 2030. Bumble Bee declined invitations to meet with Greenpeace leaders and activists. Greenpeace investigations have found illegal fishing and forced labor practices in Bumble Bee's supply chain.
