Irvingbased PFSweb sold for $181 million to GXO

Irving-based e-commerce order fulfillment provider PFSweb has agreed to be acquired by GXO Logistics for $181 million. PFSweb specializes in health and beauty, fashion, apparel, jewelry, and consumer packaged goods, with notable customers including L'Oréal and Pandora. The deal, which pays PFSweb shareholders $7.50 a share in cash, is expected to close in Q4 pending shareholder approval and regulatory clearance. PFSweb will operate as a division of GXO once the transaction is complete. As part of the deal, GXO also announced the permanent closure of its facility in Wilmer, resulting in the loss of 92 jobs.
