Canadian satellite communications company Telesat has signed an agreement with SpaceX to launch its low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite constellation called Lightspeed starting in 2026. The aim is to provide global broadband service from space by late 2027. Telesat CEO Dan Goldberg stated that SpaceX was chosen for its combination of price, performance, reliability, and schedule tempo.
